COMMUNICATION OFFICER

The Communication Officer will be directly involved in the company’s European and corporate activities and will work closely with technical coordinators, European project managers, and the management team. The role will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities within the European projects in which the company participates, as well as supporting the company’s communication, marketing, and positioning strategy.

The position will be oriented both towards the implementation of communication activities for Horizon Europe projects and the development of the company’s corporate communication, including website and social media management, content creation, and communication materials, as well as supporting commercial initiatives and positioning campaigns in collaboration with the technical team.

Based on their background and experience in communication, marketing, or branding, the candidate may take on additional responsibilities related to the company’s communication strategy and business development, with tasks expected to evolve alongside the growth of the organization and its European projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be specifically responsible for the following tasks:

  • Development of specific deliverables and implementation of communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities within EU research and innovation projects:
    • Communication and dissemination activities: support in the organization of webinars, workshops, and project events; creation, drafting, and publication of content across project communication channels, such as social media (LinkedIn, Twitter/X), project websites, and other platforms related to EU research and innovation project activities and results.
    • Development of project communication and dissemination materials (newsletters, articles, infographics, presentations, visual materials, etc.) aligned with European programme communication requirements.
    • Support in the implementation of activities related to the exploitation and valorisation of project results, including contributions to exploitation plans, market analysis, value propositions, and communication materials aimed at results uptake and transfer.

 

  • Company communication and marketing activities:
    • Management and updating of the company’s corporate communication channels, including the website and social media (mainly LinkedIn and Twitter/X).
    • Creation, drafting, and publication of corporate content related to projects, activities, events, sector positioning, and company achievements.
    • Development of corporate communication materials (presentations, brochures, dossiers, infographics, graphic and audiovisual materials).
    • Support in the development of the company’s branding, positioning, and visibility strategy at national and European levels.
    • Collaboration with the technical team in the preparation of communication campaigns and marketing actions aimed at promoting the company’s capabilities and services.

Other possible tasks in which the candidate may be involved include:

  • Preparation of new European proposals: support to coordinators in drafting sections related to communication, dissemination, exploitation, and impact in European project proposals.
  • Institutional relations and networking: support in participation in European events, fairs, and conferences, as well as in identifying collaboration opportunities and strengthening the company’s positioning within innovation ecosystems and networks.

The candidate will be responsible for carrying out these tasks across diverse and cross-sectoral fields, aligned with ongoing project activities and the European research and innovation agenda. Potential areas of activity include, but are not limited to: renewable energy and fuels; advanced sustainable materials; bio-based products and bioeconomy development; waste valorisation and industrial symbiosis; sustainable mobility; environmental management; and climate change mitigation and adaptation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in communication, marketing, or dissemination of European projects (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, LIFE) or in a similar role. Experience in communication, dissemination, and exploitation (C&D&E) activities in EU projects will be particularly valued.
  • Knowledge of communication, dissemination, and impact requirements of European programmes.
  • Experience in managing website content and corporate social media channels (especially LinkedIn).
  • Knowledge or experience in branding, digital marketing, and content creation (written and visual).
  • Excellent level of Spanish and English (C1/C2 level in both languages).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • University degree and/or Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing, European Studies, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Ability to translate technical content into clear and engaging communication materials.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and adapt to different technological and innovation sectors.
  • Proactive, creative, and results-oriented profile, with the ability to work under pressure and meet European project deadlines.
  • Problem-solving attitude, strong organizational skills, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel.
