SH2E and eGHOST Spring School: Pushing the boundaries of sustainability assessments

From May 20th to 24th, our Sustainability Technical Officer, Alberto González, had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Spring School organised by the SH2E and eGHOST European projects at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid.

The SH2E project focused on providing guidelines for conducting harmonised Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), and Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA). Meanwhile, the eGHOST project centered on the ecodesign of hydrogen systems, a field at the forefront of the energy transition.

Throughout the Spring School, participants had the chance to attend insightful lectures from leading experts in the hydrogen sector, such as Javier Dufour (IMDEA Energy), Emilio Nieto (National Hydrogen Center), and Luigi Crema (Hydrogen Europe Research). These sessions provided valuable insights into the current state and future challenges of the energy transition. Additionally, the event gathered professionals from various parts of the world, offering an excellent opportunity to learn from different cultures and expand our network.

The knowledge Alberto acquired during this event is directly aligned with the sustainability assessments we conduct at LOMARTOV. It will be particularly valuable for our work on the OHPERA project, where we are responsible for sustainability and technology validation. This experience further cements LOMARTOV’s position at the cutting edge of methodologies for sustainability assessments, not only within European projects but also for private companies seeking to enhance their sustainability efforts.

If your business is looking to enhance its sustainability practices with cutting-edge methodologies, don’t hesitate to reach out to LOMARTOV—let’s collaborate to drive your sustainability initiatives forward.
